Cryptogram Privacy Policy
This page describes the policy regarding data collected in Cryptogram and how I, Paul Lammertsma, care about your privacy. TL;DR: I never collect personal data myself and only use services that have collected personal data with your explicit consent.

Collected data
Usage
Cryptogram collects anonymous usage data through Firebase Crashlytics to investigate which trends there are among users. Crash information allows me to research prevelant problems and better understand what triggers them. Outside of the standard analytics data, only generic actions are transmitted, such as the screen being viewed. None of the data provided can be resolved to an individual.
User reviews
In the case of user reviews on Google Play, data you have consented to share with Google is shared with Google only. Cryptogram does not have access to personal data, outside of the display name you have consented to sharing publicly when publishing a review. You may receive a reply to a review which is sent to you by email from Google, however your email address itself is not revealed, stored or in any other way processed by Cryptogram.
Crash reporting
In the case of crash reporting, some information concerning the device is visible, such as make and model, free storage space and memory available. All data is non-personal that cannot be used to identify you. Information such as your email address, identity, IP-address, MAC-address, Bluetooth device name, etc., are not collected.
Services used
Cryptogram uses the following services which are GDPR compliant:
- Google Play, which offers insights into user reviews and crashes. Google is GDPR compliant.
- Google AdMob, which displays interstitial ads for unpaying users, is configured in compliance with EEA regulations to be safe for children and not to track users. Google is GDPR compliant.
- Firebase, which offers insights into usage and crashes. Firebase is GDPR compliant.
Your rights
Paul Lammertsma is responsible for all data processing through Cryptogram.
During the processing of your data, I conform to the requirements of the applicable data protection legislation. This means that through this Privacy Statement, I:
- clearly specify my purposes before I process any personal data;
- limit my collection of personal data to only the personal data needed for legitimate purposes;
- first ask for explicit permission to process your personal data in cases where your permission is required;
- take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data;
- respect your right to inspect, correct or delete your personal data held by me.

You can connect with me through the contact section on my website. For this purpose, I use your email address so I can reply to your message. By sending me a message and entering your email address you have given me consent consent to store your email address. I store the email exchange on Google for Business for the duration of our email exchange, and any time after that.
